Getting Results from your Work at Home Business

The email I received stated "I am opting out of this business. I have been enrolled
for almost a year and I have had no results at all."

My first thought was "I did not provide enough help and support to this person". But
checking further on the background, here is what I found:

The person who emailed me had signed up and then confirmed their intention to join
the online business I work with....and that's all.

He did not go through any of the training materials. He did not ask any questions.
He did not place any ads. He "had no results."

Sometimes signing up to work with an online job or opportunity is a bit frightening.
You are putting your name and email address "out there" in the hope that you have
joined a legitimate opportunity.

That is the first step only. After you have signed up, you have the opportunity to
take a close look at the business you joined...from the inside. You have access to
training materials, resources and tools to help you start your business. In many
cases, you also have a mentor or sponsor who is able and willing to help you as
you get your home business started.

Your success in a home based business will always....always....depend on the
actions that you take. No one can or will do your business for you. If training is
available, you must learn from it. If help or advice is available, you may need to
ask for it. Questions that are not asked cannot be answered.

There has been so much hype written about "easy money" to be made online that
many new to internet marketing think there is a vast audience of people just waiting
to pounce on their product or opportunity....without any effort on their part.

Truth is, there IS a vast audience out there and in that audience there are many
real people who may be looking for exactly the opportunity or product you have to
offer.

How will they find you if you only sign up and then wait? They won't. You must go
to them to present your opportunity or your product. You must learn to place ads
that get results....or build and optimize a personal website that will reach that audience.

If you start a new "day job", the first thing you have to do is learn what is expected of
you and learn how to do those tasks. If you started a new job and just went to the
workplace, sat down and waited....you would quickly be fired.

There has been so much hype written about "easy money on the internet" that many
new to online marketing do not realize that they must actually DO something to get
started. If you sign up and just sit there....you are essentially firing yourself!

First, learn all you can about the company you have joined and the products it has
to offer. Try the products yourself -- how can you sell something you have no
personal experience with?

Learn about the various methods of advertising...one at a time. If you are fortunate
enough to have joined a supportive group, use the advice they offer. It will give you
a much quicker start on your work at home business.

Fact is, many who were confused "newbies" a year ago are well on their way to
online success today. The only thing that separates them from those who say "it
doesn't work" or "I have no results" is that they did not quit when they became
confused....they kept learning and trying until they found what worked for them.

When you start an online business, it is in your power to create a successful
business. With patience, persistence, and very little money invested, you can get
a good start. As your business grows, you can learn more and more ways to
promote your own business....thus giving yourself the "raises" you deserve".

You are the BOSS and the EMPLOYEE !! You are truly in control.
